Specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery

FAQ – Frequently asked questions in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery

  • How do I find a specialist for plastic and aesthetic surgery?

Plastic and aesthetic surgery should only be performed by qualified specialists in plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery. This training, which lasts at least six years, builds on general medical training and is what distinguishes specialists from cosmetic surgeons – cosmetic surgeon is not an official qualification. Make sure your surgeon is a certified member of an official body such as the German Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (DGÄPC), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAPS) or the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

  • How many lipoedema operations have you performed in the course of your career?

To date, I have performed more than 1,000 lipoedema surgery procedures. Over the last 9 years I have built up a wealth of experience and expertise in the field, which I am delighted to share both with future patients and with colleagues less experienced in the treatment of lipoedema.

  • Where will my surgery be performed?

With the Klose-Bodyclinic, I can guarantee my patients the absolute best possible care throughout their surgery and inpatient stay. A highly specialized and exceptionally experienced team looks after them around the clock, and for longer if needed. At the same time, I ensure a complete sense of comfort thanks to the professional and compassionate nursing staff at the clinic.
